blantantly-twisted

__bL@t@nTly tWI$tEd__desperation beckons me...

Username: [7/10 points] I like it, but the only reason is because I use the word 'blatant" all the time. The twisted is a bit much. It reminds me of something my depressed friends would use, but so what? I like it. Just, without the "twisted."

First Impression: [20/20 points] Damn. I love this layout. It looks kind of shabby, but I love the image. It gives me a giggle. It's kind of dark around here, but there isn't much color you could add, so I'll let it go.

Content: [35/55 points] After reading through April, March, and February, I felt pretty close to you. You're older than me? Gee, I never would have guessed that. You're not a daylogger, but your not one who babbles about emotions either. You do your share of babbling though. Obviously, you have some sort of depression. I hear cliches of depression, anger, and hate come out of you in almost every entry. It got old, to be honest. You weren't positive once in those 3 months. You have a very extensive vocabulary and you're grammar is great. I found a few "learnt's" here and there. I don't think "learnt" is a word and if it is, it can't be correct grammar. You don't skip a space after the end of a sentence and the beginning of a new one, which makes your writing look crowded. I'm not counting off for grammar, spelling, and such, I'm just letting you know a few things you could improve on that might help you out. The last entry I read was directed toward a friend and seemed to be one of the happiest entries you wrote. Although your writing is mature and deep, it comes across as boring and fake to me. I'm not saying you're pretending to be depressed, I'm just saying you're in a different frame of mind when you are and others who are depressed are in that frame of mind also. So basically, if you've read one depressed teenage girl's diary, you've read them all.

Layout: [30/40 points] I'm assuming it's self-designed or from Blogskins since I see no visible link to a designer. I love the layout, no matter who designed it. It's bland and dull, but the image makes up for that. The image is an old black man, who appears to be blind, standing against a wall. Below the picture it says "watcha lookin' at?" I don't like the spelling of the phrase, but it's suiting to the image. The links section is way too long. A big no-no with links is - if they're in a small box, they shouldn't scroll. The only reason the box scrolls is because you have a lot of unnecessary add-ons. The mini-profile thing isn't necessary, nor is lifestyle, perk-up's, detests, adoptions, or two tagboards. I commend you on your collection of links, but if you're going to have that many crowding up the place, you might want to try a different layout. One other thing that bothered me was that the links box runs over the blogspot ad. I know you can't get rid of the ad, but you could find a different position for the links. I personally don't like the blurry image of the links. It buggers my eyes. I don't like the way they fade into the background when I scroll over them either. It's a great layout. I love it. The links just make it look messy.

Contact: [3/5 points] Phlogger. Email. Shoutbox.

Personality: Depressed. Lonely. Bored. Quiet. Shy. Intelligent. Coping. Judgemental.

Extras: [9/10 points] About. Pictures. Likes. Dislikes. Lifestyle. Fanlistings. Adoptions. Friends. Links.

Am I linked: [0/5 points] Sadly, I am not, but Acid Reviews is. Jealousy? I think so.

Favorite entries: [20/25 points] The one talking about your friend at SMS, whatever that is. The one where your friends bag got stolen. And several where you are down, but still try to have hope.

Originality: [6/10 points] 5 points for the template. Plus, your one in a million mark.

Quotes:

I do not wish to judge based on outward appearance but those people look like the 'wayward' sort who would most likely steal for a cheap thrill.
I didn't necessarily like this quote, but it stuck out to me. I found it to be a very stereotypical and offensive comment, because I would probably be one of those people who struck you as the kind to steal for a cheap thrill.

Most Memorable: Sadly, the layout and your depression.

Comments: A lot of people get mad when I make the comment to "be happier". I simply mean to try to write when you're in a happier mood than when you're in a sad/depressed mood. Most people only write when they feel certain ways and it puts their diaries in an emotional slump. I'm sure at some point during the day something good happened, no matter how small it may be, try to incorporate it into your entry. It would make people feel as though you were actually trying to feel better instead of just saying you are and then going on about how bad things in your life are right now.

Would I come back: [15/20 points] Just to look at the old man and giggle... all right, I might be back in a few days to check and see if you took any of my advice.

Total: [145/200]
