Username & diary title: (5/10) clairecav - Well, I would imagine 'Claire' is your name. Not very creative. As for the 'cav', I really don't know what that means or how to pronounce it. Hm. I don't particularly like it. Yar, mateys. It's Claire! - Cute! I like pirate & pirate-ish things. It seems a little random & misplaced, but I can overlook that. (wink)
First Impression: (12/20) Coca-cola. No! It's Claire-cav. Hm ... I like the originality, but I'm actually kind of overwhelmed with all the red & white. Too much of a good thing is still too much, mind you. The way the links are set up like a the nurition label is very nifty, though. I'm torn.
Layout: (20/40) Cookie Designs. It's a custom design, which I had already determined, but you didn't create it. Tsk. I have a bit more respect for people who make their own designs - regardless of how well it's done & from the looks of this, it doesn't look like brain surgery, or even a clipping of a toenail procedure. Anyway, It looks a bit skewed when you have shorter entries, because the links reach farther than the entries. I, also, still can't get over all of the red & white. Something in my eyes doesn't focus well on red things & this is making it very hard to review your diary. (Pardon, if I skim on the content a bit.) The only real adjustment I would make is to put the counter in with the links. Call it calories or something - whatever! It just looks lonely outside of the box. Note: I noticed, while reviewing, that you have an extras page, yet include some of the extras in your main links. Clean up the links & while you're at it, check on the rings page. It doesn't seem to want to come up.
Contact: (2/5) Notes. Email.
Extras: (10/10) Cast. Rings (It doesn't appear to be working, so I can't count it as an extra, hun.). Reviews. A-Z of Me (nice concept!). Picture. Kevin Smith Tribute (not the Kevin Smith I expected!). Dream Diary. Celebrities. Search Words. 101 Things. Counter.
Am I Linked: (5/5) Certainly. Thanks!
Content: (55/55) Sigh. I liked what parts I read of your diary. Truthfully, between the ungodly long entries & bright red burning my retinas, I only read about 10 or so entries, though. You're very talented with your writing & although I gathered that you mostly daylog with a bit of humour, I still enjoyed what I read. I found several entries that mentioned things I've surely written or at least pondered before & that made it much easier for me to get into your writing. I, sometimes, have a difficult time reading someone's diary if they're from overseas, due to slang & other language barriers, but I had NO problems at all with yours. Your grammar & spelling are PERFECT! The only complaint I really have is that the entries were a bit too long for my taste & that probably wouldn't have been that noticeable with a different (colored) layout.
Favorite Entries: (15/25) Family politics. 11 Year Old Boyfriend. Year 9 Flashback.
Personality: Brutally Honest. Hilarious. Slightly obsessive (at least over Mr. Depp & Eastenders!). Friendly. Independent.
Quotes:
Her and Kris have this absurd idea that I only like a boy-man-type if they look like a tramp. Which is really untrue. Kind of. Just because a man has long hair and slight facial fuzz, does that mean he looks like a tramp? I think not. Just look at the darling Mr Depp! He manages to look really clean all the time, despite the hairiness.
Your song: Modest Mouse - Dramamine. It's one, if not my favorite, song of all time. I thought since I found so much joy in it, maybe you would too. OR the "I Like the Way You Move" song that plays on the Coke commercials here. I don't know the artist. Sorry.
Your new name: Sarah Beth. It's Southern & All-American, clearly, but my reasoning is that it doesn't suit your at all. See, I have a crazy, unique friend (namely, sarah beth) who although, looks normal, seems to act normal (typically), & is in every way, perceivably normal - is completely bonkers! You would never guess the things that goes on in the girl's head.
You should be: a teacher. You're smart, funny, & I bet college would be a breeze for you. Besides, you're interesting & could be like Mrs. Isabella.
You remind me of: Coke, obviously, because of your layout & I really don't want to associate colas with you forever. Hm. Ponytails. You make me think of ponytails.
Comments: I would suggest a new layout, but if you paid for this custom ... eh, not so much. It's tolerable, but I have to find SOMETHING to complain about. Keep writing & doing what you do. It works for you.
Would I Come Back: (20/20) Definitely.
Total Score: 144/190
