perfection through silence

Username & diary title: (5/10) duckie38901 - I don't like the name at all. 'Duckie' seems immature & too simple, while the numbers are just wasting space. perfection through silence - I know it's only a generic lyric to go with the layout, but I like the song it comes from & can relate to what it actually means. I'm torn.

First Impression: (18/20) It's a nice layout. A bit too girly for me, but I can respect your taste. Not bad. I might complain about the links later, though.

Layout: (38/40) Star-Layouts. It is a very nicely designed layout & I'm certain whoever designed it put A LOT of work into it. I design on rare occassions & if nothing else, can admire the time spent trying to perfect every little flaw. This is an almost flawless layout, too. My biggest annoyance is the way the links are organized. You usually don't have very long entries & without the entry box cascading down, the links seem to go on forever. I suggest putting the chatterbox on it's own page or you could just write longer entries. I don't understand why you have the girl, loves, & hates areas, personally. You only have 1-3 things listed beneath each. It just seems like a waste of space to me. Add more about yourself. Let first-time readers know a few simple things about you.

Contact: (2/5) chatterbox. notes.

Extras: (1/10) Myspace.

Am I Linked: (0/5) Nope. :(

Content: (50/55) Your diary is a day-to-day account it seems, with boyfriend, friend, & normal teenage problems thrown in. I can relate 100%. I'm probably being a lot more partial to you than I should, but it hasn't been that long ago since I wen through all those same trials & tribulations. I was also home-schooled, so I think other people's highschool years interest me a bit. I can understand why some of the readers (especially older readers) wouldn't stick around, I can also understand why younger ones would. Your diary is VERY easy for any teenage girl to relate to & although it doesn't divulge too much information, it also seems to be written more for yourself than most of the people who read it. You even had a few entries that touched me. Grammar isn't on your side, however, & I have to deduct a few points for lack of capitalization, punctuation, & other silly things.

Favorite Entries: (15/25) Because you used the 'transitive property'. Because it's a sad thing. Because you're human.

Personality: Teenager. Mildly depressed. In a very "confused" love. Dependent & somewhat needy.

Quotes:

hey. i think me and janie are okay now. we kinda sorta talked about the cats outside my window fucking last night.
- I didn't know what you were talking about, so this sruck me as odd/funny.

Your song: Anberlin - Never Take Friendship Personal. The lyrics are like my advice to you. Check it out.

Your new name: Emma. You slightly remind me of Emma from Degrass: The Next Generation.

You should be: Less concerned with all the highschool bullshit & boys. I swear 5 or possibly less years from now ...NONE of it will matter. I'm not just saying that. I barely recognize the people I was best friends with in highschool when I see them out. You move on & grow up. It's life.

You remind me of: Summer. It's so awesome (or it would be if everything wasn't so icky).

Comments: I'll spare you most of my advice & butting in, but I just have to say a few things. The boy you're dating/going out with/whatever shouldn't be the focus of your life. It's okay to think about him or want to spend time with him, but when he seems to be the only thing in your life, it's usually because he's controlling your life. I've been in the same situation, oddly enough, with a guy who shares the same name. It's not fun & can lead to a lot more physical & emotional hurt in the end. If he tells you where you can go, who you can see, or doesn't seem to have time for you unless 'sexual acts' are involved - DUMP HIM! If he's that possessive & controlling, it will eventually lead to emotional & physical abuse. It may not be that noticeable at first, but if you'll lisen to the people around you, I think you'll be all right. I just don't want to see such a sweet girl get hurt by another nasty guy is all.

Would I Come Back: (20/20) Probably. I think I might add you to my favorites. :)
