Username & diary title: (5/10) velvetdrop - It isn't really something that intrigues me. It almost seems somewhat dark. It does have a nice ring to it, though, & isn't littered with a string of numbers. ~Velvetdrop~ - Not a big fan of the swirlies - at all. I like more unique names, myself. This is just your username with a swirl before & after. Nothing special.

First Impression: (10/20) Hmmm. I don't really like this design. It seems a bit immature. The colors match, but seem to clash as well. The scrolling entry box & mini-bio look messy & there are too many links at the top.

Layout: (15/40) Diva Designs. Like I said, I don't favor this design much, but if it's your preference, I can't complain. The colors, however, don't strike me as appealing, nor does the patterned background go with ... anything else. The jumbled mess of links at the top need to be organized & the sidebar needs a makeover, too. I suggest finding a brand new design - possibly one with more room for links. Instead of having 'about me','more about me', 'rings', etc ... gathered at the top, you could add an extras page & place ALL the extra links there. It would give you tons more room & clean up the mess.

Content: (50/55) Hm. You sometimes speak in 'broken english', but that's perfectly acceptable. I read that you were from Finland, so some things I may not completely understand & the misuse of words can be easily overlooked, since you speak as well as most Americans. Your diary seemed to be more of a daily account than an emotional outburst, but it still intrigued me for the most part. I'm always interested in people from different places, especially overseas. From what I gather, you probably write more for your friends or to keep a physical record of what you've been doing lately. You occassionally shed a little light on how something made you feel, but you mostly just describe (in fantastic detail) how your day went. It's not the greatest thing I've ever read, nor the worst, it's just an interesting, quirky diary that could be easily loved or hated. I, however, happen to love it.

Your new name: I don't know any 'Finnish' names, but I would probably imagine your name being Lauren. Shortened to Lulu. You remind me a bit of her. She's really close to her mother & travels a lot.

You should be: more open with your feelings. I don't know if this is just your daylog diary or if you have a REAL diary that you write in, but it would be nice to know more about your opinions & feelings on things. When you mentioned movies & music, I could relate to you a lot. But you never mentioned anything of having any problems you were dealing with or anything that concerned you too much (except your exams). It would have just been nicer to get a bigger picture of who you were.

You remind me of: Soren. He was an exchange student that I knew long ago. He was from Denmark, but that's close to Finland. & you remind me of scarves.

Comments: Get a new layout or try to clean this one up a bit. (It needs it!) Keep writing & if possible, try to open yourself up more. Get a little more philosophical with your entries. Don't force anything - just add substance.
